Skylee Campbell, Psy.D.
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Campbell received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. During her training, Dr. Campbell administered assessments and conducted individual and group therapy in various settings, including neuropsychology private practice, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and residential substance use facilities. She completed internship at Spring Grove Hospital Center in Maryland, working primarily with adults diagnosed with severe mental illness. There, she conducted psychological assessments, co-conducted court-ordered forensic evaluations (e.g., competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, violence risk assessment) with adolescents and adults, and provided crisis intervention and individual and group therapy. Following internship, Dr. Campbell completed a postdoctoral forensic fellowship at Central State Hospital in Virginia, where she focused on conducting court-ordered evaluations, specifically competency to stand trial and mental state at the time of the offense. She also led a weekly mental health case law seminar and served as the chair of the research committee.
Dr. Campbell is licensed as a psychologist in Maryland, DC and Virginia. Her job duties as a licensed psychologist have included both forensic and psychological assessments, such as psychological evaluations and transfer-waiver assessments for the Department of Juvenile Services, psychological and neuropsychological evaluations ordered by the Department of Social Services, as well as additional referrals for psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations for adolescents and adults with a variety of reasons for referral.
